BVWNA's 2026 Summer Yard-of-the-Season

Congratulations to our BVWNA members Clarence and Sherrie Johnson for being selected as BVWNA's 2026 Summer Yard-of-the-Season!

Clarence & Sherrie Johnson moved into the neighborhood 16 years ago. They enjoy the convenience and accessibility to major hubs, parks, grocery stores, and appreciate the seclusion and proximity to green spaces. Lastly, they love the community vibe and most of the neighbors are friendly and engaging. To keep the yard looking beautiful Clarence spends approximately 10 hours per week working on it. When planting he and Sherrie look for heat loving annuals like zinnias and cosmos. They also love evergreen shrubs!

Clarence's advice for a good looking yard is to spend at least one day a week doing something in the yard until it becomes a routine.

Clarence is of the opinion that curb appeal is more than just appearances. It creates a strong first impression and adds value to your home. A well-maintained lawn and landscaping make your home more inviting while reflecting the care you've put into it. So whether you ever plan to sell your home or simply want to enjoy it, investing in curb appeal can enhance both your home's beauty and its overall value.
