Remembering our good neighbor Scott Willingham
We are deeply sadden to learn of the passing of our neighbor Scott Willingham. Scott was a long-time resident of East Fort Worth and Bentley Village. He was a good friend and a well-liked neighbor to many. He served as the Board President of the Bentley Village/Waterchase Neighborhood Association for seven years and was a strong advocate for our community. Scott will be greatly missed and long remembered by the Bentley Village/Waterchase Estates neighborhood.

On behalf of the entire John T. White Neighborhood Association, we want to express our great feeling of sadness and loss upon learning of Scott’s passing. Scott was a good man, a good friend, and a steady hand in our combined efforts to make our east side a better place to live. Scott believed in civic involvement, where citizens take responsibility for their area, it’s development, and it’s future. He was a warrior in the trenches when 'push came to shove’ with developers, and someone who made a difference. Many, many times Scott joined the JTWNA in a zoning fight, and his presence, knowledge, and the fact he was respected by all city officials who knew him was always appreciated, and counted on. Scott was, first and foremost, a husband and a dad. His family was his real passion, and I know he will be missed tremendously by those who loved the most. You are in our thoughts.
He will also be missed by those of us who knew him as a friend. I always appreciated his habit of speaking directly, never seeing a need to dance around tough issues. You knew where you stood with this good man, sadly a thing missing in so many men today.
The best way to honor one who has temporarily left us is to remember them, and think and speak of them often, and fondly.
All his many friends in the JTWNA, and the east side in general will do just that. You will be missed Scott. Thank you for sharing your fighting spirit with us, as well as your friendship. You will not be forgotten. With deepest sympathy, and warmest thoughts Dave Fulson, for our entire JTWNA Family
I am so sorry to hear this. Cat and I are devastated on behalf of Scott’s family. I wish we could attend the memorial but my own health is not solid enough to do that.
Our sincere sympathy on his loss.
