You may have noticed when you enter our neighborhood, small signs are mounted on top of some of the street signs that say "Bentley Village Homeowners Association." These small signs are old and do not reflect our neighborhood as it is today. One of the recommendations is for BVWNA to invest in new Street Sign Toppers that read "Bentley Village-Waterchase Neighborhood Association." The focus would be to place new street sign toppers on the four egress/exit points of the neighborhood -- Racquet Club/Randol Mill, Racquet Club/John T White, Newport/John T White and Sylvan/John T White. There is a process to get neighborhood approval, city approval, and then quotes from city-approved vendors. New street sign toppers might look like this.... Let us and your neighbors know what you think. We will post more information as it becomes available. If you have ideas for other investments BVWNA can make or options to street signs, let us know! All investment decisions like these will be voted on by current BVWNA members

Hello all, At the recent general annual meeting, we touched on the topic BVWNA's reserve funds. One of the items was cameras which was initiated by Officer Travis Ward at the meeting. He posted on Nextdoor about these Flock Cameras. Here is a link to that post: Ofc Ward said the usual practice is for the HOA or NA or purchase the cameras and donate them to the FW Police Department. Then the FWPD would be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the cameras and camera feed. And since they would only be used in potential criminal situations, no one in the neighborhood would have access to the cameras or camera feed. Ofc Ward recommended one camera at Randol Mill & Racquet Club Drive, and a second camera at Sylvan & John T White to capture traffic coming and going in and out of the neighborhood. No camera would be aimed towards private property. This are still frame cameras designed to pick up license plate numbers - so it may not accomplish what some would like to see. We've sent in a request on the cost and have reached out to Ofc Ward to find out if there is a cost break for cameras being purchased for the PD. Will keep you posted on what we find out If you have ideas for other investments BVWNA can make or options to safety cameras, close circuit TV, let us know! All investment decisions like these will be voted on by current BVWNA members

I was hesitant about audible books - but then I tried them! And I loved being able to multi-task while listening to some of my favorite fictions, histories, and school books. Then I took the next step of Podcasts! This is another great way of delving into all kinds of topics while you do other things that don't require your full attention. You might seeing me mowing my yard while I listen to our Fort Worth Mayor talk on 9/14 about preparing for disaster with the Fort Worth Fire Chief (Podcast: "Go Time in Fort Worth" with Maddie Parker). In the 10/5 podcast, our Mayor gives a concise over view of the City's $1.8 billion budget while I got all the laundry folded and put away! Some other good Fort Worth Podcasts are: 817 Podcast with EJ & Jimmy Fort Worth Star-Telegram Daily Briefing Support the Fort: Culture & History WFAA Y'all-itics Innovate Fort Worth You can get these podcasts on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, Pocketcasts, Amazon/Audible, or where ever your get your favorite podcasts! Make sure you mark these as your favorite & Enjoy!

Our new fiscal year (Oct 1 - Sept 30) is upon us and we will be voting for the Board members at the BVWNA Annual General Meeting to be held on October 23rd. We have two (2) vacant At-Large Board positions that should be filled. These positions are voting positions with responsibility for supporting the Board in various activities. Do you want to be involved in the activities and attend all meetings on the Zoning issues? Maybe you have some really good ideas to increase our membership? Are you a social media buff and think we could do a better with our e-communications? Then we have a place for you and would love to have your involvement. Please consider nominating yourself for one of these very important positions!! The BVWNA Board is a great and fun team to join!
