You may have noticed when you enter our neighborhood, small signs are mounted on top of some of the street signs that say "Bentley Village Homeowners Association." These small signs are old and do not reflect our neighborhood as it is today. One of the recommendations is for BVWNA to invest in new Street Sign Toppers that read "Bentley Village-Waterchase Neighborhood Association." The focus would be to place new street sign toppers on the four egress/exit points of the neighborhood -- Racquet Club/Randol Mill, Racquet Club/John T White, Newport/John T White and Sylvan/John T White. There is a process to get neighborhood approval, city approval, and then quotes from city-approved vendors. New street sign toppers might look like this.... Let us and your neighbors know what you think. We will post more information as it becomes available. If you have ideas for other investments BVWNA can make or options to street signs, let us know! Hello all, At the recent general annual meeting, we touched on the topic BVWNA's reserve funds. One of the items was cameras which was initiated by Officer Travis Ward at the meeting. He posted on Nextdoor about these Flock Cameras. Here is a link to that post: https://nextdoor.com/p/Q_m475m_kCWN?utm_source=share&extras=MzAzMDU4 Ofc Ward said the usual practice is for the HOA or NA or purchase the cameras and donate them to the FW Police Department. Then the FWPD would be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the cameras and camera feed. And since they would only be used in potential criminal situations, no one in the neighborhood would have access to the cameras or camera feed. Ofc Ward recommended one camera at Randol Mill & Racquet Club Drive, and a second camera at Sylvan & John T White to capture traffic coming and going in and out of the neighborhood. No camera would be aimed towards private property. This are still frame cameras designed to pick up license plate numbers - so it may not accomplish what some would like to see. We've sent in a request on the cost and have reached out to Ofc Ward to find out if there is a cost break for cameras being purchased for the PD.
